The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System™ is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Burnham's LEED Accredited Professionals offer specialized knowledge, guidance and support to address your sustainability needs and inquiries. Our LEED APs and architects help you to implement the most practical and innovative sustainable building strategies to meet the industry's demands.
Sustainability Consulting may include any or all of the following services:
LEED Project Consulting
- Our LEED Project Managers will guide your LEED Project through the design, documentation and construction phases to achieve certification.
LEED Credit Submittal Management for Contractors
- Burnham's Sustainability Consultants provide LEED construction management services helping general contractors streamline the LEED certification process while keeping it cost effective.
- We will assist the contractor in successfully implementing the LEED process and manage the online submittal process acting as liaison between the construction team and the USGBC. From tracking waste management and developing Indoor Air Quality Management Plans to calculating regional materials used, our LEED Accredited Professionals will work with the construction team to achieve the highest possible level of LEED certification for each project.
- Scope of services include:
- Review of all Construction Submittal credits and identify team roles and responsibilities associated with credits.
- Collect assemble and coordinate documentation for construction submittals.
- Create drawings and prepare calculations for credit submittals that require these.
- Complete LEED-Online documentation and submittals for certification.
- Research Credit Interpretation Rulings (CIRs), assist in filing Credit Interpretation Requests and Appeals
- Identify possible Innovation in Design credits and incentives for LEED certification.
LEED Point Certification and Submittal
- We will manage the collection and organization of the submittal templates and required documentation, including assisting the design team in the preparation of the submittal templates and required documentation, as well as uploading information to the LEED-Online.

LEED Specifications
- Our LEED APs will ensure the success of your LEED specifications by providing assistance in material/product selection and developing specific text to be incorporated into the specification document.
