With the start of the U.S. Open next week, we thought it was a great time to make a racquet about the Wilson Flagship store in New York City.
Because the project fell within the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District, we first had to secure approval from the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission. Once we secured the Landmark Commissions approval and permit, Burnham filed the project with the NYC Department of Buildings and secured approvals and permits for General Construction, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Sprinkler systems upgrades to the property.
Speaking of:
Do you need an FDNY project authorization letter? In 2021, new processes went into effect where the FDNY now requires official authorization for any project needing requests for Auxiliary Radio Communication Systems and Fire Alarm Applications. Enforcement of this new requirement went into full swing at the end of 2022.
Our NYC team is tracking the evolution of these new requirements and we've added it to our basic services for every project.
We're here to serve you. πΎ
