Denver Area: Developing Updates

Burnham's goal, as always, is to continue communicating with city officials online, via email and by phone and provide you with updates on any city implementation that may take place in the coming weeks. We will continue to monitor all jurisdictions for updates and will send out new processes as they’re announced.
Updates of major jurisdictions as of 4.08.20
- The State of Colorado has extended the Stay-At-Home order until April 26.
- The City of Denver has extended their Stay-At-Home order until April 30.
Updates of major jurisdictions as of 3.23.20
- Mayor Michael Hancock issued a Stay-At-Home order for all non-essential services until Friday, April 10.
- Construction work is essential to maintaining safe infrastructure and will be allowed to proceed as scheduled and approved.
Updates of major jurisdictions as of 3.19.20
- Golden
- The Municipal Center, including the Permit Center will be closed to walk-in public until further notice.
- Arvada
- The Municipal Center, including the Permit Center will be closed to walk-in public from March 17 through March 27, 2020.
- Denver
- The Municipal Center, including the Permit Center is still open at this time.
- Lakewood
- The Municipal Center, including the Permit Center will be closed to walk-in public from March 17 through March 20 and will assess on the 31st.
- Boulder
- The Municipal Center, including the Permit Center will be closed to walk-in public from March 17 through March 29, 2020.
- During this time, we will continue to be in constant communication with city officials as they themselves begin to work remotely. Burnham will continue to work around the clock to take care of your projects.

Are LADBS Development Service Centers still closed to the public, as described in this post?
No, this was a temporary March 2020 pandemic measure. LADBS Development Services Centers (Metro, Van Nuys, West LA, South LA, and San Pedro) have long since reopened for in-person services, alongside the digital ePlanLA and PermitLA systems that have become the city's standard submittal channels.
Is San Diego's Development Services still limiting visitors and quarantining plans for 24 hours before screening, as this post describes?
No, these were specific, temporary precautions tied to the earliest phase of the pandemic response and aren't current operating procedures. San Diego's Development Services Department now operates under standard, non-pandemic procedures.
Are inspections still suspended in San Diego, as mentioned in this post?
No, that suspension was specific to the initial March 2020 shutdown period. Inspections (including remote/virtual options, as covered elsewhere in this blog) have resumed and operate under standard scheduling citywide.
Is Los Angeles County's building department still closed, requiring email-only case-by-case resubmittals as described here?
No, this reflects the very earliest, most restrictive phase of LA County's 2020 shutdown response and has no bearing on current operations, which have returned to standard in-person and electronic submittal processes.
Where can I find current operating status for LA, Orange County, or San Diego building departments instead of this 2020 snapshot?
Each jurisdiction's building department website is the best current source - LADBS, San Diego Development Services, and Orange County agencies have all returned to standard operations with their own current digital and in-person submittal systems, none of which resemble the emergency drop-off/dropbox procedures described in this 2020 post.
